Welcome to Shepard’s School   Counseling Program

Hello, I am Angela Teal, the school counselor at Shepard IB Middle School.  This is my 14th year at Shepard.  I am available to help you and your child have a successful school year.  As a school counselor, I work with parents and students in many ways through a program of numerous services.  Each service is aimed at helping children learn and develop to their highest potential.  Some of the services in The School Counseling Program are:

·         Group counseling is an opportunity for students to help each other and share ideas about specific issues, such as problem solving and peer relationships.

·         Individual sessions assist students with a variety of educational and/or personal concerns.

·         Peer Mediation is designed for students to help solve problems among their peers.

·         Conflict Resolution is resolving a conflict among students and myself as the mediator.

·         Referrals are made upon request to help students and their families receive assistance from other programs and services in the school system and from agencies outside the school.

These are a few of the services I offer you and your child.  If you have questions or wish to see me about your child, please do not hesitate to contact me at 560-2680 or angela.teal@dpsnc.net
