KidsVoting

Shepard students continue demonstrating good character and citizenship by increasing their awareness of what is going on in their local community, increasing their sense of responsibility and voicing their opinions through participation in a schoolwide Kids Voting Durham 2009 election held on Monday, November 2nd.  Humanities teachers informed students about candidates qualifications using Mini-Bio facts and Youth Student Discussion questions, then students cast their votes.  IB Ammbassadors led the activity and students were highly engaged and orderly when they put ballots in the Voting Box and eagerly awaited their USA Kids Voting, "I Voted stickers."
